Hospital Grading Scale

Medical Marijuana of Illinois has performed research and compiled information from our patients regarding their experience in receiving information on Medical Marijuana from their Healthcare provider. Based upon that information we have created a grading scale ranging from A through D (A being the highest and D noting much room for improvement). We have created a survey to access Hospitals/Healthcare Systems on three key areas: Their willingness to provide their patients with a Physician Written Certification; The ability of the hospital administration to provide guidance to patients seeking medical marijuana as treatment; and the ability of the Hospital/Healthcare System to provide resources to individuals seeking information on medical marijuana. We have assigned the following grades based upon our research.

A = Hospital/Healthcare system has an EXTENSIVE understanding of the information needed to provide their patients with a Physician Written Certification. The hospital administration supports their doctors in providing qualified patients with a Physician Written Certification. In addition the administration encourages its Doctors to obtain Continuing Medical Education Credits in Medical Marijuana. The Hospital/Healthcare system has conveyed a general understanding of the entire process of obtaining a Registry I.D. Card in the State of Illinois.

B = Hospital/Healthcare system has a GOOD understanding of the information needed to provide their patients with a Physician Written Certification. The hospital administration supports their doctors in providing qualified patients with a Physician Written Certification. The medical staff has expressed interest in obtaining Continuing Medical Education Credits in Medical Marijuana. The Hospital/Healthcare system is receptive to receiving information regarding the process their patients must complete in order to obtain their Registry I.D. Card in the State of Illinois.

C = Hospital/Healthcare system has a BASIC understanding of the information needed to provide their patients with a Physician Written Certification. The hospital administration currently has neutral stance on the topic of Medical Marijuana; and it allows each Physician to determine their stance on whether or not to provide their qualified patients with a Physician Written Certification.

D = Hospital/Healthcare system is unwilling to allow its Physicians to provide their qualified patients with a Physician Written Certification. They do not have an established system in place to refer patients to qualified resources that can assist them with obtaining a Physician Written Certification.
